Truly powerful black tea, the aromas are created by using the processing methods from grandfather Maclean Kay's recipe from the 1930's and 1940's. A classical Malawian black tea produces a rounded sweet and thick cup.
If you like adding milk to your black tea, this is the tea to choose! Its sweetness is enhanced when adding milk, and the strong body of the tea can take the weight of the milk. Of course, this tea is perfectly suited to be enjoyed as the nature intended - with its own right.
Tasting notes: Strong and balanced black tea with flavors of sweet spruce needle, pepper, toast, roasted apricot, dark syrup, sweet coal
Process: Orthodox method with hand-picked two leaves and a bud, uniform wiry leaves and silver tips, traditional black tea processing with quite heavy rolling and full oxidation. This brings out the spiciness and strong mouthfeel. Whole leaves. Pesticide-free Fair Trade farming
Brewing: 1,5g tea / 1 dl water, 95C for 1.30 min
